Ingredients

For the Steak

  • 1 lb ribeye, New York strip, or sirloin steak

  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp neutral oil (for searing)

For the Peanut Miso Broth

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced

  • 4 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth

  • 2 tbsp white miso paste

  • 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter (unsweetened)

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tsp chili garlic sauce or sriracha (optional)

  • 1 tsp honey or brown sugar (optional)
