Hot Chocolate Fudge Bars

A dreamy, creamy, double-layer fudge that tastes exactly like a mug of hot cocoa — in dessert form!

These bars combine a thick, velvety chocolate fudge base, a smooth white-chocolate “cream topping,” and a generous layer of mini marshmallows. They slice beautifully, store well, and make the perfect holiday treat for gifting, snacking, or adding to Christmas dessert trays.

🎄 Ingredients

Chocolate Fudge Layer

  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 can (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

White Chocolate Layer

  • 2 cups white chocolate chips

  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff (or crème)

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk (from the same can is fine)

Topping

  • 2–3 cups mini marshmallows

🍫 Instructions

STEP 1 — Prepare Your Pan

Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving overhang so you can lift the fudge out easily later.

STEP 2 — Make the Chocolate Fudge Base

  1. In a medium saucepan, add:

    • chocolate chips

    • condensed milk

    • butter

    • salt

  2. Melt over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and glossy.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

  4. Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan.

  5. Use a spatula to smooth into an even layer.

  6. Place pan in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes while you prepare the next layer.

✔ This partial chilling ensures the layers set cleanly without mixing.

STEP 3 — Make the White Chocolate Layer

  1. In a clean saucepan, combine:

    • white chocolate chips

    • marshmallow fluff

    • butter

    • remaining condensed milk

  2. Melt over low heat, stirring constantly.

  3. When smooth, remove from heat immediately — white chocolate burns fast!

STEP 4 — Assemble the Fudge
