🍫 “Never-Gets-Old Fudgy Chocolate Loaf Cake”

This recipe is so good, I’ve cooked it four times this month — and it NEVER gets old!
Moist, rich, deeply chocolatey, and unbelievably simple. Perfect for gifting, snacking, or satisfying late-night cravings!


INGREDIENTS

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)

  • ½ cup whole milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Finishing Touch

  • ½ cup boiling water (YES — this is the secret to that shiny crackly top!)


👩‍🍳 INSTRUCTIONS

1️⃣ Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Grease a loaf pan or line it with foil (as in your photo).

2️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together:
✔ flour
✔ sugar
✔ cocoa
✔ baking powder
✔ baking soda
✔ salt

Make sure there are no lumps, especially in the cocoa.

3️⃣ Add Wet Ingredients

Add:
✔ eggs
✔ oil or melted butter
✔ milk
✔ vanilla

Mix until just combined — no overmixing!
