These pillowy-soft rolls are lightly sweet, golden on the outside, and melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside. Perfect for breakfast, tea time, or anytime snacking!

Ingredients (Makes 8–10 rolls)

  • ¾ cup warm milk (about 110°F / 43°C)

  • 2 ¼ tsp dry active yeast (1 packet)

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour (plus more for kneading)

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 large egg

  • ½ tsp salt

Optional for finish:

  • 1 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)

  • 1 tsp sugar + ¼ tsp cinnamon (for dusting)

‍ Instructions

Step 1: Activate the Yeast

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast.

  2. Stir gently and let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. (This means the yeast is alive and ready to go!)
