Ingredients

  • 12 oz (340 g) egg noodles
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup (10.5 oz / 298 g)
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz / 298 g)
  • 1/2 cup milk (or half-and-half for richer)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, adds depth)
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Optional Add-Ins

  • 1/2 tsp paprika (smoky or sweet)
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup frozen peas or mixed veggies
  • 1/2 cup sautéed mushrooms
  • Crushed buttery crackers (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook noodles: Boil egg noodles in salted water until just al dente (about 1 minute less than package).
    Drain and set aside.
  3. Brown the beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned
    and onion is soft (8–10 minutes). Drain excess grease.
