Ingredients

For the Potatoes

  • 3 lbs (1.3 kg) Yukon gold potatoes, peeled & sliced into thick rounds (½–¾ inch)

  • 4 tbsp melted butter

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • 1 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth)

  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1–2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional (for extra flavor):

  • ½ cup heavy cream (for a richer melt-in-your-mouth finish)

  • Fresh thyme or rosemary

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the Potatoes

  1. Peel potatoes and slice them into thick, even rounds (½–¾ inch).

  2. Place slices in a bowl and toss with:

    • melted butter

    • olive oil

    • garlic powder

    • onion powder

    • paprika

    • salt & pepper

Make sure each potato slice is fully coated.

2. Sear for Crispiness (Optional but Recommended)

Heat a large skillet over medium-high.
Sear each potato round for 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden.
(This step creates that irresistible crispy crust.)

3. Transfer to a Baking Dish or Slow Cooker
