Ritz Cracker Party Sandwiches

Introduction

Ritz Cracker Party Sandwiches are the kind of snack that feels almost too simple for how good they taste.
The buttery crunch of Ritz crackers paired with a creamy, savory filling hits that perfect “one more bite” sweet spot.
They’re fast, flexible, and ideal when you need a crowd-pleaser that looks cute on a tray and takes almost no time.

The classic approach is a cream cheese-based spread—usually with cheddar, herbs, and a little tang—sandwiched between two crackers.
A short chill helps the filling firm up and makes the sandwiches easier to handle, but they’re still delicious right away.

Pro move: Pipe the filling with a zip-top bag (snip the corner). It’s quicker, cleaner, and makes every sandwich look uniform.

Ingredients

Classic cheddar-chive filling (recommended)

  • 48 Ritz crackers (about 1 sleeve) — makes 24 sandwiches
  • 115 g cream cheese, softened
  • 90 g mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
  • 80 g shredded cheddar (or finely grated for smoother texture)
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped green onions (or chives)
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped pickles (optional, for tang)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional garnish ideas: extra chopped chives, paprika dust, everything bagel seasoning, tiny pickle slices,
crispy bacon bits, or a thin jalapeño ring (for heat lovers).

Instructions

1) Make the filling

  1. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth and creamy.
  2. Stir in cheddar, chives/green onions, pickles (if using), garlic powder, and paprika (if using).
  3. Taste and season with salt and black pepper.

2) Assemble the sandwiches

  1. Lay out 24 Ritz crackers on a tray (flat side up).
  2. Pipe or spoon about 1–2 tsp filling onto each cracker.
  3. Top with the remaining 24 crackers and gently press to adhere.

3) Chill (optional but recommended)
