Eggnog Cookies: Soft, Buttery Holiday Cookies with Nutmeg and a Sweet Eggnog Glaze

Introduction:

Eggnog season has a way of making everything feel cozy—twinkle lights, warm spices, and that unmistakable holiday flavor that
tastes like nutmeg, vanilla, and comfort. These Eggnog Cookies capture all of that in one soft, tender bite.
They’re buttery and pillowy, lightly spiced, and finished with a simple eggnog glaze that sets into a sweet, festive coating.

If you love classic Christmas cookies but want something a little different from sugar cookies and gingerbread, eggnog cookies
are a perfect choice. They’re easy to make, they smell incredible while baking, and they look beautiful on a cookie tray.
They’re also a hit at cookie exchanges because the flavor feels special and seasonal without being overpowering.

The secret is using real eggnog in both the cookie dough and the glaze. It adds gentle richness and a signature holiday note.
A touch of nutmeg (and optional rum extract) pushes the flavor into true “eggnog” territory. Whether you’re baking for a party,
gifting cookies, or just making your kitchen feel like Christmas, this recipe belongs on your winter list.
