Cheeseburger Pie – Savory Comfort Food Classic

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Press pie crust into a 9‑inch pie dish (if using a single crust, reserve the second for a top layer).
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add diced onion and garlic; cook 3–4 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes to meld flavors.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture evenly into the prepared crust.
  6. If using a top crust, lay it over the filling and crimp edges; cut slits for steam. If not, sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  7. Bake 25–30 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Let cool 10 minutes, then slice and serve warm with optional toppings.
