- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Press pie crust into a 9‑inch pie dish (if using a single crust, reserve the second for a top layer).
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add diced onion and garlic; cook 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes to meld flavors.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Spoon the beef mixture evenly into the prepared crust.
- If using a top crust, lay it over the filling and crimp edges; cut slits for steam. If not, sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Let cool 10 minutes, then slice and serve warm with optional toppings.
