🧀 Cranberry Pecan Cream Cheese Ball

Creamy, tangy, sweet, crunchy — this cheese ball has it all. It’s the perfect appetizer for holidays, potlucks, game nights, or anytime you want to impress with something effortless yet unforgettable.


Ingredients

For the Cheese Mixture

  • 16 oz (450 g) cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup dried cranberries, chopped

  • ½ cup pecans, finely chopped

  • 2–3 green onions, thinly sliced

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tbsp honey (optional but recommended)

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ¼ tsp onion powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ⅛ tsp black pepper


For the Coating

  • ½ cup chopped pecans

  • ¼ cup chopped dried cranberries

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

1. Prepare the Cheese Base

In a large mixing bowl, combine:

  • softened cream cheese

  • shredded cheddar

  • chopped cranberries

  • green onions

  • pecans

  • parsley

  • honey (optional)

  • garlic powder

  • onion powder

  • salt & pepper

Mix with a spatula or beaters until everything is well combined and creamy.


2. Shape into a Ball

  • Transfer the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap.

  • Wrap tightly and gently form into a ball shape.

  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm (overnight is even better).


3. Roll in the Coating

In a shallow bowl, combine:

  • chopped pecans

  • chopped dried cranberries

  • chopped parsley

Remove the chilled cheese ball from the plastic wrap and roll it in the coating until fully covered.


4. Serve

Place on a platter surrounded by:

  • buttery crackers

  • pretzel thins

  • toasted baguette slices

  • apple slices
