🧀 Cheesy Beef & Rice Bake

A creamy, beefy, ultra-cheesy casserole that never survives the dinner table!

This dish has all the best comfort-food elements: savory seasoned ground beef, tender rice, a creamy sauce, and a golden, bubbly cheese topping. It’s simple, filling, affordable — and totally addictive.


Ingredients

For the Beef Layer

  • 1½ lbs (700 g) ground beef

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

For the Rice & Creamy Mixture

  • 3 cups cooked rice (white or jasmine works best)

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup chicken or beef broth

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

For the Cheese Topping

  • 1½–2 cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella (or a blend)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Cook the Beef

In a large skillet:

  1. Brown the ground beef over medium-high heat.

  2. Add diced onion and garlic; cook until softened.

  3. Season with Worcestershire, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  4. Drain excess fat.

Set aside.


2. Prepare the Creamy Rice Mixture

In a large bowl, combine:

  • Cooked rice

  • Cream of mushroom (or chicken) soup

  • Sour cream

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • Broth

  • Onion & garlic powders

  • Salt and pepper

Mix until creamy and well combined.


3. Layer the Casserole
