This dish has all the best comfort-food elements: savory seasoned ground beef, tender rice, a creamy sauce, and a golden, bubbly cheese topping. It’s simple, filling, affordable — and totally addictive.
⭐ Ingredients
For the Beef Layer

1½ lbs (700 g) ground beef

1 small onion, diced
-
2–3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
-
1 tsp paprika
-
1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
-
Salt & black pepper to taste
For the Rice & Creamy Mixture
-
3 cups cooked rice (white or jasmine works best)
-
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
-
1 cup sour cream
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
½ cup chicken or beef broth
-
1 tsp onion powder
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
Salt & pepper to taste
For the Cheese Topping

1½–2 cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella (or a blend)
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Cook the Beef
In a large skillet:

Brown the ground beef over medium-high heat.

Add diced onion and garlic; cook until softened.

Season with Worcestershire, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Drain excess fat.
Set aside.
2. Prepare the Creamy Rice Mixture
In a large bowl, combine:

Cream of mushroom (or chicken) soup

Mozzarella cheese

Broth

Onion & garlic powders

Salt and pepper
Mix until creamy and well combined.
